We are offering our second home in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York State for rent for the months of November ‘06 through June ‘07. The home is situated upon 13 gently sloping acres with a small pond and is in the bucolic Township of Bovina, near to Margaretville, Andes, Delhi, and Oneonta, New York.

Sunken Living Room - This room is 15x19 with three skylights that bring in views of the tree tops and changing skies. Included here are a freestanding wood burning stove, sofa, wicker chairs, coffee table, bookcase and tall Swedish antique cabinet used to contain a Denton CD player and receiver, and Bang and Olufsen LP turntable. There is a ceiling fan at the vaulted ceiling. Sliding glass doors lead to the adjoining deck, with a round metal table and four chairs.

Dining Room - Contains a round wood dining table, four chairs, a rustic sideboard and ceiling fan. As the room overlooks the living room, you are afforded fabulous views from here as well.

Kitchen - This is galley-style room, with a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a radiant-element, glass-top, self-cleaning stove. There is ample cabinet space and a quantity of dish and flatware. There are many pots, pans, utility knives, including a cleaver and chopping block, and an array of kitchen gadgets. You will find here a hand mixer, a coffee maker, an Italian espresso/cappuccino machine, a microwave oven, a bread machine, a blender, a toaster, and an electric griddle. A handy “pass-through” connects to the dining room.

Guest Bedroom - This is a spacious and bright room for the occasional guest. It has a Vermont Furniture Design 4-poster full-size bed with down comforter, a lovely antique dresser, and a cedar-lined and lighted walk-in closet. A balcony connects to the deck at the back of the house.

Bathroom - This is a small guest bathroom, containing a full size tub with shower. The walls and floor are tile.

Master Bedroom - Here you will find a Charles P. Rogers king-size bed, with new Simmons Beautyrest mattress and low-profile box spring, as well as a new goose down comforter. The sheets are 1,000 count cotton. A fine five-drawer Vermont Furniture Design dresser and a wall of lighted cedar-lined closet space offer ample storage. There is also a ceiling fan at the vaulted ceiling.

Main Bath - This is a good-sized room, with tile floor, walls and sink countertop. There are two basins and two storage areas and an abundance of thick towels. The tub/shower is curtained with duck cloth.

Office/TV Room - We have turned this 3rd bedroom into a multipurpose room. Here we have a new 32” Sony HDTV and a new dvd/vcr player, and a teak desk. A small filing cabinet and new HP 4-in-1 laser printer are tucked away in a shelved closet. The balcony opens to a lovely treetop view with mountains in the distance.

The top of the line Bowflex treadmill, the Nordic Track, and the ping pong table found here are illuminated by three ground level windows by day, and by fluorescent lighting at night. Additionally, the laundry area contains a washer, dryer, utility sink, and a table for folding clothing. A Bilco door opens onto the side yard.
